This popped up in the headlines of my homepage this morning. In short, the Supreme Court refused to take up a case about allegations that Wal-Mart was engaging in gender discrimination (due to insufficient evidence and filing for the wrong kind of class-action). Despite these technicalities, decisions like these only illustrate how the gender wage gap becomes perpetuated in society.
