This is a course on social inequality. In this course, we will seek to understand the effects and reproduction of social inequality in the United States. We will try to answer questions such as: What is Inequality? How does it matter? How does it work? How do parents’ social class and other aspects of their life situations impact their kids’? How do government policies matter?

Across Europe, Irking Drivers Is Urban Policy
Here's an article that relates to the guest speaker we had today, Lisa Chen. This article focuses on the transportation issues and the plans Europe has to make more environmentally friendly modes of transportation to promoting a healthy community. What I found interesting was that several cities in Germany, there are "environmental zones" in which only cars with low carbon dioxide levels may enter.
